I was born in Scotland May of 1968.

In the summer of 1971 when I was 3 years old while out on a regular Sunday drive i remember a particularly sunny blue sky summer afternoon (which could have been our summer done that day as the joke goes, or more like, went.. in those yesterdays ),... as I was looking out the window ...daydreaming... watching the gentle hills and farmland fields of the southern Ayrshire landscape roll by....From the back seat of my papa Heron's Vauxhall, amidst his beloved grandchildren... I received a primordial level message. That moment and memory of that moment, profoundly informed me and has guided and driven me in a life lived between the seen physical plane of reality, and myriad unseen dimensions.

As I write this In 2021, I describe my practice as something that exists between a love for paintings of a more traditional subject matter, and a love for a research of concerns focussed primarily from the creation of an astro/techno/bio/ill/-logical equation.

the LANDSCAPE WORK became a practice of a shift toward a 'sculptural mode' of seeing and thinking, with an underlying palimpsest + pentimento “attitude”. I am chasing ways of transcribing the subject's matter with attempts made at painting a hyper sense of space and light, combined with focal point arrangements, and subtle contrapuntal movements in marks.

The MAJOR BODY of work is an ongoing research and development project, It has been evolving over many years, and includes a small number of related side projects of sub-categories.

BORN from my student work thread of themes:( 1988.9-1993.5 >1998.4 incl. ), 2002/New Century Rhymes, 2004/The Five Windows, and 2010/Myth of Creation are all representations of my Existential Archaeology.

To this point in my life I am nobody from nowhere, having lived a mostly classic pragmatic dedicate devoted mad struggling artist below the poverty line reality,. .someway, somehow uncovering the tools in this game to navigate through. by chance by fate, by plan... nurtured by a quietly tormented anti-social deeply pragmatic spirit. I make my work like a monk, in a bubble of my own de/construction/molition evolving living appreciating thanking small things...
